hey guys. my LNB has had cloudy fins for the past week or two. i dont see any cysts or white specs on him. he swims around and is eating fine.

what could this white stuff on his fins be? signs of ich? and is it serious?

thanks in advance.

Cloudy fins are often a sign of a bacterial problem. Most minor bacterial problems clear up on their own. Might try and improve water quality and provide healthy food ... will help fish's immune system.

If condition doesn't get better within a week or so you might consider qting and using a antibiotic like maracyn2.

wow did i get gynxed or what.

i made this post at work. i came home to see the butterfly attached to one of the powerheads. this is a sureflow mode which is very strong. i want to say he died first and then got sucked up, the odd part is he didn't show any signs of not eating or wierd behavior. is it possible he just got too close and since it was strong got sucked in..or he most likely died first? im dumbfounded.

i'd also like to add...i just relized the spot where he sleeps was right by the powerhead..not sure if that changes things or not.
