i have a 65 gal tank that ive had running for 4 weeks / 3 with LR . i have 4.5 in. dsb 60 lbs of base rock 45 lbs LR an H.O.B filter that im running full carbon in right now a super skimmer 125 and i have a orbit dual 96 watt and a 110 watt light fixtures. my cycle just ended and all my parameters are ammonia 0 , nitrite 0 , nitrate 0, phosphate 0 , calc. 420 , meq/l 3.5 , alk 8.0 , and my ph 8.2 . i noticed toward the start of the nitrite part of the cycle my water started to get cloudy so i figured it was a little bit of a bacteria bloom. the cloudy water got a little worse but then it started to get better about two days ago but has not changed since . can someone tell me what they think it is and what i should do if anything ?

The tank right now is unstabile since the bacteria is colonizing in the tank, sand rock. You are probably experiencing a bacteria bloom. I would suggest doing a small waterchange, andkeeping th elights on for short periods of time so you dont have a huge algae out break.

Agree with Blown346, it is bacteria. Let it run its course. There is no way to go around algea outbreak, but running lights will help your oxygen levels since bacteria can consume lots of oxygen. ... my $0.02 :)
