Clown behavior

I have a problem with my clowns. They are a mated pair, laying eggs, and hosting in an elegance coral. I setup a new larger tank and moved the clowns and elegance to the new tank, now the clowns won't look at the elegance anymore. All they do is swim around the tank and sleep in the corner of the tank.

Is there something I can do to make them rediscover their elegance? Should I move the elegance?

How long have they been in the new tank? They could still be adjusting to the new environment. You might try moving the elegance near where they are lying down, but I think you should just allow more time.

It was only 2 days since the move to the new tank, but I put them in all at once. Elegance and 2 clowns, in the same area. Do clowns have a preference where their home is? Out in the open or near rocks?

Last night I moved the elegance to where they were sleeping. I will see how it goes.

Thanks

Clownfish prefer an area where they feel secure, so maybe if the elegance was in a small "cove" in the rocks where the flow isn't too strong and they aren't bothered. Spawning should resume in 2-4 months when they are acclimated to their new home and have found a nice place to lay eggs by their elegance. Good luck!

Create a habitat as similar to their previouse home, where the elegance hosted them, as possible. They were comfortable with living in the area provided, in the previouse aquarium, duplicate that area to make them feel like home. I also agree with Aquaph, In time nature will take its course.
