Clown being agressive towards new fish

I have a maroon clown fish that came with the tank, and it was the only fish in my 14g Biocube. Today I picked up a small damsel and a small cow fish.

About an hour after being introduced into the tank, my clown is now beating up on these two smaller fish. Is this normal behavior? Is there a solution?

I'd rather not be stuck with only this one fish until this clown dies of old age. So any suggestions are welcome.

Oh, not sure if this is part of the equation, but I picked up some frozen brine shrimp for the 1st time as well today. I placed a small bit into the tank, which a crab grabbed and is keeping for himself. Would the introduction of a new food cause the above mentioned agressive behavior?

Thanks!

Steve

You wont have any fish when that cowfish stresses out and dies :)

That clown owns that tank...that isnt gunna change.

hence the problem of introducing fish after putting an aggressive clownfish like a maroon or fire clown. remove the cowfish or he will kill everything. try "restraining" the maroon in a net or tupperwear for awhile (or the reverse) to acclimate them to each other but it still may not work remember maroons get large and normally require sufficient room to grow and the 14 gallon wont last it that long
