Clown dies today

So to begin, I am new to marine tanks and have had a 72 bowfront with 40 breeder for about 2 months. I fishless cycled it pretty quickly and slowly stocked it with one or two fish each week. I currently (as of last night at least) have:
2 clowns
1 cleaner wrasse
3 blue/green chromis
1 coral beauty
1 yellow diamond goby
1 small zoa
2 cleaner shrimp
1 fire shrimp
1 blue leg hermit
roughly a dozen astrea snails.

The sump consists of an swc skimmer, refugium with chaeto and live rock, media reactor with bio pellets.

The clowns were showing some signs of having some white spots on them but it looked like micro bubbles. (a problem stemming from the sump setup, i've solved it but when the water gets low, bubbles can get in to DT.) Anyway, I was having a cloudy/milky water issue and couldn't get rid of it and after scouring the forums, i came to the conclusion that it must be a bacteria bloom as part of the uglies. Well it wasn't getting any better or worse so i tried turning of the media reactor last night and woke up this morning to find two things, the clown was on his last legs and the tank looked much clearer. I'm not sure if the two are related but the other clown looks ok right now. His skin/scales have a few white spots but it looks like they just have stuff on them. All my levels have always been good except salinity, last week i found out my hydrometer was off and I had too much salt in there (1.032), I have since thrown it out and only use my refractometer now but the fish seemed to be doing better after that. The clown looks like he has white stuff growing on him. I can't upload photos yet since I am new but any help would be appreciated. And if i forgot any detail please let me know.

I had the salinity issue once too because of the hydrometer. My clowns were fine though, They never showed sign of sickness and the sanility was high, like yours, for over 4 months. White spots could be parasites, but hard to tell from your description.

So I did a little research and found that it is probably Brookylnella. Still, any reason why they have gotten it? What would cause it? I am at work now and can't setup the QT for the one that is dying but I will do one tonight for the other clown before they start showing symptoms.

Ok got it, had to resize. best quality I could get on my phone on the way out the door.

Hard to say from the pics. :( It does look like it could be brook.

Thats pretty quick to stock the tank. Stress can cause viral/bacterial infections to get a foothold when the fish would otherwise fight it off. I go by the motto: the ocean wasn't stocked in a day, neither should your reef tank.

Setting up a QT tank for all future additions will help reduce the risk of infection.
