Well i couldn't really think of a good title. Either way...

I have a black occy and true perc in my tank. They were playing guest in my elegance. They had seemed to be pairing up, the lil male does the dance, the female chases him around than lets him in the elegance. Well I didn't like the idea of them being in my elegance that i have had for a year so i bought an RBTA.

Weeks went by with no attention to the RBTA, than the perc found it and hung out around it during the day and the elegance at night, for maybe a week or two. Than the Black occy female found the RBTA now and sticks by it 24/7 while the true perc stays in the elegance.

Is there any shot of them atleast pairing up with them keeping distance from each other?

and for fun here's the true perc in the elegance

Give it time, my black ocellaris pair went through a violent "divorce,"after being paired for 6 months with the female beating up on the male and vice versa. After that episode they produced viable eggs, four months after the incident.

IME, my female seemed to fend off the male while it appeared she was acclimating herself to the nem. Once she was comfortable she brought him over. It was almost as if she was showing him how to acclimate himself. I think it will all work out soon.

My experience with hosting anemones is very brief yet, but my pair went through a similar "separation" when the male began being hosted by their new BTA, while the female stuck to their old territory in back of the LR bommie. Just last night, she finally began staying in the anemone with her mate. Right now they're both in/near the anemone, and hovering close by even when they do leave.
