Clown fish help

It is possible that this tank has not cycled enough or correctly and the bacteria can not handle the load or the bacteria has died off.

Do you have any ammonia testers? I would get one.

I would start with water changes with good ASW mix.

It is not likely though. I tested the tank multiple times with ammonia in bottle up to 4 ppm, and my tank was able to digest it in less than 24 hours.

Yes I have full line of different test kits. I use Exact Idip and Red Sea test kit. Ammonia is 0.

I strongly believe it is because I did not change the water in QT for one week even though algae was growing on the glass and there were left over foods too on the bottom. It is my fault. I thought I can change it once a week. The QT is not cyle, so apparently I have to change the water more often.

Is there any medication that I can give to him in addition to change the water more frequently?

It has been more than 3 weeks now and I don't see any improvement on this fish. It keeps swimming sideways and stays on the surface gasping for air. Sometime he list and upside down. I don't know whether he is eating or not. He does not want to eat the smallest pellets, and I have to crush the pellets to smaller crumbs.
I am surprised that he is still going until now. Changing the water didn't seem to help to. Is there a nice painless way to put him to sleep? I feel sorry for him. Paraguard and prazipro don't help too.

Can you post a video of him swimming? And can you try live brine shrimp just to see if he will eat? If you haven't tried other foods besides pellets I would try mysis, live brine, and LRS.

Im assuming your saying rip because he died
You still have a problem don't buy any other fish
A tank takes 4-12 weeks to cycle (if done properly) most cycles are about 8 weeks
How did you cycle the tank
Did you introduce any bacteria colonies to start up the bacteria
Did you cure the rock (if you have any)
What equipment do you have on the tank
Do you have a sump
Most clowns don't eat for 2-4 days when introduced to a new tank best thing that works is frozen food like misis or rods, reef frenzy then switch them to pellets or flake
Is the rodi new
In your qt what do you have running
And finally the fish could have been sick before you got it stringy poop is a international parasite parazi pro always worked for me but it could have been too late for the clown if the parasite did to much damage before you got it or while in qt

Here is my build thread that will answer most of your questions

I used dr tims ammonia and nitrifying bacteria. Itbwas cycled for 5 weeks I think. He was in QT for one month and was given to me for free. Wasn't eating well since day 1 even using the same food that the came with the fish. I gave him prazipro and paraguard (not together) but didn't work.
There is another clown in DT now that looks healthy and happy plus 8 snails.
Plan to get another clown next week and will QT him.
