clown fish jumping

I'v had my pair of tank raised perculas for about 2 years and just recently one decieded to jump out of the tank. I thought this was very wierd, but i didn;t think much of it. So i went out and bought a new clown and the same day the other clown decieded to jump too. So in about two weeks two clown fish have jumped and left me buying two new ones.

Does anyone know the cause of this or heard anything about jumping clowns?

You might wanna check all your tank perameters. Make sure that everything is where it should be. Might they have Ich? Do you notice white spots? I have read where if fish have Ich they will jump outta the tank.

my tanK parameters are fine and they don't have ich. Since i hanv't added anything in about 6 months. I also have a cleaner shrimp which keep my tank pretty clean.

Hmmm that's wierd then, I guess the only thing left to do would be to put up some kinda "guard" up so if the fish jump up near the edges they won't get outta the tank. Good luck.

True perculas without a host will probably stay near the surface (not sure about false perculas). There's a high chance of them jumping and dying. So safest way is to put a glass/acrylic cover.
