clown fish on a soft coral

I have a skunk clown fish which has taken over a yellow mushroom as its home. Through it was nice to look at first, the fish is always on top of it and the mushroom's tentacles are not coming out because of this. Will this hurt the mushroom ona long run? Should I get an anemone for this?

My clown lives in a colt coral, the coral got over it and now is fine. If it wasn't for the clown, the colt would have been removed long ago.

In the long run, the coral may not be as robust as without the fish, but I don't know that it necessarily *hurts* the coral. My RBTA is teeny tiny at the current time, so my clowns host in a bed of palys. The heads close up when they're there, but they open right back up again when the fish leave.
