clown fish with anemone

i am planning on getting a clownfish and want to get a anemone but dont have reef lighting.i just have a regular fluroecent light.can i stille put it in there or will it die

not all clowns host in just anemones, some host in corals like Frogspawn, Hairy Shrooms and Anthelia which you might have enough ligting for depending on how many watts you have.

u will need better lighting, the clowns will host pretty much anything.

The nice thing about clownfish is that they really do not need to host anything. I would hold off on the anemone until you upgrade your lights and gain more experience at reef keeping. It will save you stress and money if you wait.
