Man this clown fish is trying to host in everything i got, Hairy mushrooms, my new flower pot coral, frogspawn. Frustrating to watch will he stop or is an anemone a necessary thing at this point. Just want to know dont want him killing other stuff trying to host.

My clowns went from zoas, to green star polyps, and finally made a permanent home in a large colony of hairy mushrooms.

I've never heard of clowns killing what they host in, either. Quite the opposite, actually... sometimes they'll feed what they host in! Especially with anemones. :)

if these are the ones that came from me, i had a torch coral that they seemed to like, but never hurt. it retracted for a few days till it got use to them being all up in it's bidness LOL

seemed like lately, their place of choice was right beside the korilia where the water was getting sucked in....they'd just swim against the current for hrs on end. that is until i walked up to the tank & then they headed right to the corner i always fed them at :D

tell 'em i said HI :(

The clowns won't kill'em....Mine used to host zoanthids and they would close up before, but not anymore after they get used to them being there all the time...

I think my clown killed several of my frogspawn.....by irritating it.
Now she's in my Xenia.....nothing can kill that crap.

well i was jsut worried that all the rolling around and playing in the corals it might kill them but i guess i will just wait and see. They seem to have setteled in with the green hairy mushrooms i got from norman at the swap.

My clowns host in the same mushrooms (I think they originated from Wayne... I know, big surprise) and haven't harmed them in any way. :)

My younger pair of clowns hosts in my frogspawn colony and the frogspawn didn't like it at first, but it's ok now... :)
