Clown with one spot on fin, not using fin?

I originally posted this in the new to hobby area. The few that commented suggested I post here because they were stumped. Some suggestions were coral sting or fukes.

Sorry for the crappy pic. This is Steve, he spent 5 weeks in QT with his friend Flicker. Two weeks ago they came out of QT. They have been doing great. This morning I noticed Steve didn't have the energy he usually does. I just now got done feeding them and for the first time ever he didn't eat.

Upon closer inspection, I found one white dot at the base of his right pectoral fin. You can see it in the pic if you look hard, So know I'm thinking the dreaded ick. I watched him closer and noticed that he was actually trying not to use the fin at all, which explains why he's "limping" around the tank. His breathing is fine, he doesn't seem to be laboring for air...he's just moving slow. It's almost like the fin is wounded or something...kind of like he was stung or something. The only other inhabitants are two hermits and 20 assorted snails and a few corals.

Any thoughts? If it was ick, wouldn't I see multiple spots? Would Ick basically "paralize" the fin like that? I'm really hoping he just wounded himself somehow and it will heal, but I would think I would see some sort of "gash" or wound or something, not a perfect little white dot.

I also noticed when the lights went out he went up to the top behind the heater...this is also new behavior.

Please tell me your thoughts. Thanks

Yeah, it's hard to tell from the pic but I don't think it's ich. Typically ich looks like sprinkled salt and is wide spread. Since you've had him for 7 weeks brook or velvet more than likely would have reared their ugly heads by now. Have you added anything to the tank since you've added them?

I started running GFO (BRS Granular) mixed 1 to 2 with Carbon (BRS ROX) in my Powerfilter. I've been running Carbon (Chemipure)for a while in my canister, the GFO is what is new to my system (and the new brand of cabon) .

I got a closer look at the spot today, it's actually red (enflamed) underneath and around it and it appears to go through the whole fin to the other side. He still prefers not to use it. It's like a soar. It looks like a pimple a human would get with a ***** middle.

Here is a little better pic

When you asked if I added anything sense they have been in the tank I was thinking filtration, chemical...etc. If you are talking livestock, here is what has been added after the guys were added to the tank.

12 snails
2 frags
1 elegance
1 hammer

Did you quarantine any of them? How long ago were they added? Do you have any formalin or a Quick Cure on hand?
