Clown without an anemone

I have a perc clown that I have had for about four months. He swims along the top and stays in the same areas. I was thinking about getting him an anemone to hang out in, all the ones i see have one but I do not. I feel like i am cheating him. Any suggestions if i should, shouldn't or what kind is easy to maintain with LPS and softies. thanks

i had 2 percs that wouldnt host anything. Even if you get an anenome it may not host for a long while.

Do you have frogspawn or a torch coral? I have seen them host those corals as well as xenia.

My two black percs host in there long tenticle and as well host in my Goniopora ( green ). I'll post pics later.

They will host in corals but its alot nicer and more natural to see them snuggling into an anemone.

My clowns love my frogspawn, and hammer coral. Your really not cheating your clown, they generally live in an anemone for protection. Seeing as there are no preadtors in your tank your clown doesnt "need" an anemone.

I have held out on getting an anemone for my ocellaris as he enjoys the frogspawn. Dont need the random movemont from an anemone decimating my corals

the clown doesn't really need an anemone. have you ever considered trying to pair it up? Maybe all he needs is a mate.

Have frogspawn, torch coral and nothing. The false perc like to host the hole in the sand that he digs every night and i cover up in the morning. He is best friends with the female blue devil though.
