i want to see pics of everyone's 5 gallon nano reefs. preferably with false perc. clownfish. what equipment (filtration, lighting, skimmer, etc.) do you guys use. i have an empty 5 gallon acrylic tank and powerhead and lighting that came with the tank. do you guys use skimmers, sumps or just regular filtration. i will hopefully be getting a small false perc. as soon as i get you guys' input on the equipment and then i will set up my tank. or.....what about dwarf seahorses? let's see them pics. and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree...i would say 10g minimum..maybe 8. I think i have seen some people with clowns in a 5g but i dont reccomend it. Too much bioload for too small of a tank. A small goby is much better :)

I have heard of one or two select cases where people have put one small perc in a 5 gal but they have other tanks to move it to when it gets to big... you could keep a small one for a little bit but it will outgrow the tank and you will have to move it... 10 gal is the suggested minimum.
As for dwarf seahorses, I'm pretty sure you could do that but your equipment is going to be a little different (a lot less flow etc.) Check out seahorse.org They have a lot of great info... good luck if you try keeping them... they can be a lot of work, especially if you breed them.
