Clownfish in Copper at LFS...need to treat proactively in QT?

My LFS keeps copper in its fish system. I brought home a clown, been in QT for 9 days, and has been eating well for about 3 day. Because the fish has been in the copper, should I still treat with Prazipro proactively before going to the DT? Fish is looking great, no signs now of stress or illness. No flashing or string poop, no spots, belly is full, fish looks nice and thick and healthy.

Any suggestions, as always, greatly appreciated!

Any fish that has been kept in copper at an LFS should be observed in QT for a minimum of 4 weeks. Prazipro treatment is fine.

Thanks for the response. Is it possible that the copper at the LFS was kept at non-therapeutic levels, and that's why the 4 week QT minimum is required? Some copper may be enough to suppress various maladies, but this gives time for the pathogens to go through at least a full life cycle and really rear up?

I have a LFS that uses copper on ALL fish, reguardless of where they come from. Never had any issues with theirs.

Each store is different. They may be fighting an outbreak of something. Ask them why.
