I have finnally got my act sorted and got my tank in motion :)

I have a 125 Liter tank that I want to put a pair of clowns and mayby a cleaner with a blenny and what not.

Just have a question though, I have 2 40watt plant bulbs running on the tank.
Being the tank is only 30cm deep so could i keep corals and mayby a anemone down the line...

Any thoughts...

I am thinking about a marron pair?

Maroons get big and mean. Unless you can find a mated pair they are hard to pair up. They need a bigger tank than perculas or ocellaris which are nicer and easier to mate. A good source of information on clownfish is the book Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson.

You definitely need more light. Plant bulbs are no good for SW tanks. Neither are normal fluorescent fixtures. You'll need either T5's or MH lights.

If I gather correctly your tank (125 liter) is approx 30 gallons and only about 12 inches deep (30cm)? That's a very shallow tank to keep SW fish. While the volume would probably suffice for a Maroon pair, you'd likely be unable to keep any additional fish in there and there is a definite 'carpet surfing' danger unless the tank is covered at all times.

Being that shallow, you may not need lights as powerful as suggested by other contributors, but plant lights will not do for a marine invertebrate such as an anemone or corals. You'll need a more suitable colour spectrum to corals and such. T5HO lighting would be a good choice IMO.

A shallow tank like that would make a good home for a strictly coral display.... no fish?
