I don't like it as a form of communication to replace a forum

Yes as odious as Facebook can be, it's a particularly effective way to stay in touch. By the numbers, most people have an account.

I think it will help. Another hobby club I belong to tried to use the forum like this..it wasn't much of a success. Once the group migrated to a Facebook club events have been a snap to coordinate, sync to calendars, and share ideas, topics, pictures of tanks etc. It seems to me to have been a big improvement.

How do I poll a group?
Click Ask Question at the top of the group.
Enter your question and add poll options if you wish.
Click Ask Question to share it with the group. Only group members can answer questions or vote on polls that appear in a group.

Just checked out the page on Facebook...........just a suggestion, IMO a group would be better than just a page. That way everyone that is a member gets a notification when another member posts. Just a thought.

RC would not let me reply to you Ntvper so I am posting here.

I think all you have to do is go to your home page and in the search box at the top do a search for "Groups". Then click on the link that says "Create a Group" and follow the instructions. Then people can do a search for the name of the group and join.
