CO2 controlled tank

I have been thinking about getting tanks back up and running. In the past I have been disappointed in having difficulty getting a balance between plant life and fish. I just could never get plants to take and thrive. I know that there are systems that control CO2 levels and the environment in the tank to make it the best of all worlds.

Is there a good learning resource about all of that? I am very much DIY and would probably build my own system (since I have access to the JNIOR). Would this be a good place to get help in that effort?

Are you asking about freshwater planted tanks? This is a saltwater forum..

Actually, I don't know much about saltwater tanks. Seems interesting. My understanding (which is decades old) is that it is much more expensive and difficult.

Saltwater tanks ...specifically ones with corals typically require more knowledge and money.. Mostly to maintain a stable environment for the corals...

Planted tanks can take time/money/expertise thought too...
