Cocoon

I fed my fish some shrimp, I noticed one piece of th shrimp is hanging under a piece of live rock in a cocoon. It was frozen shrimp. what would make the cocoon. I have a red star fish, coral banded shrimp, emerald crab, snails and hermit crabs blue and red. Two fish bicolor blenny and a six line wrasse. I am doing my first major water change on the tank tomorrow should I take this out:mixed:

I'm afraid you probably have one of these in your aquarium. Look at night and see if you can find it. They Mostly Come Out at Night...Mostly. The only known way to get rid of it is to call Sigourney Weaver.

Seriously though, it's just decaying... take it out.

Thank you I cleaned it out. so maybe it wont happen again. Being new you see some things in your tank and just don't know where to go. now I know
