Coldwater Seahorses

Hmm... I would try Hippocampus ingens. A bunch of divers keep finding them off the coast of La Jolla. Make sure that the lagoon doesn't get too hot in the Summer. You should think about getting some of the invasive sargassum that's all around Catalina, the seahorses would love using it for a holdfast... oh yeah and Catalina gobies would make very good lagoon mates for them!

I was just getting my scientific diver cert. in Catalina, you are so lucky to live there!

I don't live there but my family owns a bunch of land there. A bunch of them are on the board of directors for the Catalina Island Conservancy. It is pretty cold out but once it warms up you are more then welcomed to dive my lagoon. During high tide you can paddle over from Avon.

The lagoon is still a work in progress but it is going to become a high end dive based bed and breakfast. There is a Barricade to prevent movement of animals. Artifical reefs are going to be made using helicopters and boats. We are currently working on creating hybrid sharks to put on display in the dive zone. The sharks won't be able to be seen anywhere else in the world.

WOW! You must be a Wrigley.
The Catalina Island Conservancy representative has no idea of the lagoon or its development. I am sure it is a private adventure. :-)
