Color loss in star polyps... will it return?

I just restarted a tank that has been down since Hurricane Katrina. It has been running for a month now. The live rock was saved and kept on my porch for the last year and a half with very little care (50% evaporation, no water changes, algea and scum, freezing winter temps, no water flow, etc.) and only natural light. In the last week or so since my tank has been running, star polyps have started to emerge from their purple crust. I figured they were dead after all this time and neglect. I had some brown ones, lavender/green, and several shades of green. The brown ones are white and the other colors are shades of yellow. Will their original colors return?

yes, i reaquascaped my tank and found some that were getting no or very little light and and had no color to them and now 3 weeks later they have all there color back.

Time will only tell, I suppose. GSP is very hardy, imo, but your situation is quite extreme. You'll have a great success story if it does that's for sure. :)
