I have a X-factor cap that I started smaller than a quarter. It is now close to 16" around. Several months ago I changed my lights because the coral colors started to brown out. The LEDs were over 3 years old. My husbandry started to slip too. Everything stayed healthy for the most part but as I stated the pop was gone.
It has been a couple months and almost all of the color has returned. But the cap is not nearly as green as I want it. I noticed that under a shadowed section of the cap it was bright green and remembered that in the past it was easy to bleach with my LEDs.
So finally my question, I would like to shade that Monti. Moving it is out of the question.
Has anyone used the screening method inside a tank before? My system is high flow (2 mp40 in a 56g cube).
