Colorful Snail ID

i thought it was a conch at first but the LFS said it was a snail. it burrows in the sand all day and only comes out to eat (meaty foods)

It's Babylonia. It's a predatory whelk and will feed on worms, and possibly other small snails.

BTW conchs are snails.

I remember a while ago my LFS got a bunch of those in listed as turbo snails. They never could figure out what they were. He had them in with coral and they didn't bother anything.
