colt coral question?

hello, I have a colt coral maybe 6" tall and was doing great....growing like a weed! all of a sudden its getting smaller & smaller every day. I think it's probably a parasite because I had a colt coral a while back that contacted a parasite & did not servive. the parasite drilled a hole in the base of coral. I don't see a hole on my current colt but could be around the back of it where I can't see. question, can I dip the coral in a solution that would kill the parasite & not the coral? what's the proper way to go about getting rid of this possible pest? to be honest, I don't. maybe once every year or two I go to aquarium imports in hoover. I purchase everything online, supplies & livestock. livestock only comes from liveaquaria. most everything reguarding supplies comes from premium aquatics.

I go to the langs in gadsden, and the new store on 280 a couple times. I haven't ordered from liveaquaria, they are always out of what I would want.

I use to go to a store in gadsden. was fish tales & the new owner call it something else...can't remember the name something "reef". all he had was salt water only! living reef I think was the name but he went out of business years ago. don't know if anyone took it over?
