Common Skimmer Help

I know this is a very popular question but Im looking to upgrade my skimmer for my 55g. Im looking for a hang on tank that can be used with ozone. I understand venturi is the kind you need for ozone. I dont have a sump so it needs to be hang on. Any ideas?

Im just in the process of setting up, and was going to use one of these, I have read a lot of bad reviews on these skimmers, so have changed my mind, My LFS are even selling with 40% off because noone wants them, even joked that I could just take it on the way out.

But like I say im just starting out and will bow to superior knowledge.

amen to that i will also bow to supieror knowledge. yeah my lfs is selling it for about 160 . i was like wow . and big als is like 89 . Have you heard anything bad about the corallife super skimmer those are pretty cheap and i guess some say they are good??

Those are supposed to be decent skimmers. I have an excalibur skimmer on my 55, im about to get a larger one for my 75.

Im in the UK and have decided on a V2skim, getting some very good reviews and are a good price for those like my self on a lower budget.

I tried ozone a bit and gave up on it. Seems to be fine without it.

You can get a Coralife Super Skimmer. It also works with Ozone.

These things are great.

theres two different super skimmers. Air-Injection Venturi System and Needle Wheel System. Which one?
