What all do you have?
I have been looking to purchase The Mares Mission Puck Wrist Nitrox Computer, Its under $300 and seems to be a big hit.

Here we have both an Oceanic VT3 wireless - and a Suunto Vyper.

I like both - I wish the Suunto had a slightly less conserveative profile, but I love the downloadability to the third party logging software I use. (DiveLog)

The VT3 is also nice - and it is also a wireless transmitter for the air pressure.

One of my former dive buddies (moved out of state) and profile wise the Suunto and Mares were identical.

If you are looking for a basic dive computer, you may also want to consider the Dive Rite NitekDuo.

If your coming to the PROP auction tommorow and want to take a peak at them - I'll bring them with me.

My wife and I each have the Oceanic VT3. Nice, but have swapped out 3 times now. Once bc the rubber casing tore after one dive, and then the 2 times because the computers thought we were at high altitude and would not work properly as a result. (We live and dive mostly in South Florida, sea level).

Thanks for the replys!!
I am looking at two computers now the Dive Rite NitekDuo
and the Mares Puck Wrist Computer!
The only thing that I found different about them
was the NitekDuo is PC Downloadable and the Puck is not.
Which I can live without the Downloading feature.
I log my dives in my book anyway! Let me know If anyone
has any bad experiences with the Mares Puck or have heard
anything bad about them. I rent my gear on my vacations
because I fly stand-by which sucks to check bags and not
be 100% sure your gear is going to get there:0( So I carry
on my gear fins/boots/mask and computer. Thanks for the help!!

Also - the Nitek Duo is made by Seiko.

Its availible as the Cressi Archimedes II, the Tusa IQ-700, Apeks Quantum, and the Zeagle N2ition.

You may be able to find a "good" deal on one of the other brands somewhere.

While I do log on the computer, I have a printed log book also. (I print from the software)

The Uwatec Galileo Sol is on my "I gotta have this" list - but - its not cheap.

Nope its not but i can play with them anytime :D

$2,000 = retail

Free = pricesless

I just bought a Cobra 2. Not sure if anyone else is familiar or if for the price i would have been better off going with something else. It has everything as far as i can tell full computer plus computer compass.

I've had an ares manta for a little over a year now and really like it. It's a little larger than a standard wrist watch and will do mixes up to 50% O2. It's easy to use and read and the it's not as restrictive as the mares(which uses the RGBM algo) and suunto computers.

I dive the Oceanic Data Trans. It is getting a bit old, but I love the wireless tank data. One less hose, no need to upgrade. i always try to buy once.
