Conch ?

Seeing that and the ridiculous amount of biodiversity that exists in our tiny tanks(compared to the ocean) are what I love most about this hobby.

Well said, the colorful fish first caught my attention, but now that I'm doing it the fish are low on my list, and my attention is more fucused on the diversity and relationships that all these tiny creatures display.

those are some goods pics, I was thinking of picking up a big turbo for my lil fowlr but your pics make me want to pick up a q conch.

btw, the magic conch is what spongbob & patrick would ask things like a magic 8 ball.

romunov is right, queen conch's get huge, and are not appropriate for the home aquarium. Mine were sold as fighting conch, and at the time were only about a inch long. Which is the only reason I have them. If you want a conch then the fighting conch would be more appropriate as far as size is concerned. They are primarily sand bed feeders and require algal growth on the sand bed to survive. Turbos tend to clean the glass and LR. So the two have fairly different niches to fill.

Yes, I keep asking mine for a million dollars, but so far it just stares at me for minute, and then goes back to eating.
