I have a Problem, I bought out a friends tank contents as he is moving away,Ive been adding things from his to mine slowly...My tank has been fully cycled with cured rock from his and a few coctail shrimp...All my parameters are great and haven't moved even with the addition of 20 snails 4 blue leg hermits and a PJ cardinal.Still have to move some corals, and 2 prec. clowns, green cromis, and a coral beauty. But there are also 2 condilactic anemones...Will i have problems keeping these in a fairly new tank...

If i have to get rid of them i will...I don't like them much and the clowns don't host in them. But will they survive til i find a home for them?

Condi Nems are very hardy and should be fine in your tank. They generally do not host anything though - but there have been those who's damsels have decided they make a good home.

Condi nems are hardy, but 2 of them in the same tank can cause a chemical warefare between the two till one or both dies that may also effect other things in your tank, also as cdangel0 said they generally are not hosted along with the small problem that they are very agressive and generally are not reef safe meaning anything that the condi comes in contact with will get stung and probably injured (meaning corals) I personally would not keep a condi in any of my tanks

if you keep one of them try a clarkii clown fish i have always had luck with them hosting they seem to host on about anything. or atleast from my experince.

I agree with Randall, Not a good anemone to have at all with any kind of clown, they tend to eat their host, I would never risk a clown hosting one

these anenomes are vey hardy...i have read that they can go in cold water tanks...
i have one in my 29 tall with some polyp frags and one mushroom...i placed it in the tank on a rock out of strong flow and it moved about 3 inches and hasent moved since...
very rarely have i seen these anenomes hosted...but have seen it done dont remember what kind of clown though

yea those clarkii go in almost everything...the only problem is that they are very and i mean VERY protective over theyre anenome
when i had mine i couldnt even clean near it the clown would break the skin on my knuckles
