conflicting information

I ordered, (against my better judgment, but could not resist as the price match allowed me to order it for almost 40% of what md normally sells this item for) a Quiet One 6000 pump.

The website description and information found regading this pump indcates taht this pump can be used internally or externally.

When I opened the box, a small red piece of paper fell out, (it was tucked into the top panel of the carton lid). This red paper indicates: "... 2-pin plug. Only for internal use. ..."

Does this mean I can not use this pump externally as I anticpated? Is this the case with all Quiet One pumps or just this one?
Will I have to wait forever to get a reply, or a replacement pump? Will I have to contact the mfg?

Will Md ever figure out what they are doing, or will they continue to support mediocre employee while making thier customers jump hrough hoops and or to comply with thier rules and polices which are unique and not customer freindly.

And as some inother threads mentioned, will this instance cause MD to raise thier prices across the board thereby ruining it for 'others'???

Well, with all due respect to 'others', this is unsatisfactory, just like my other issue, and just like some of the other threads in this forum. And no one but MD can resolve this. And how they choose to resolve this is how to fairly determine how good this company or any company can be measured.

I will contact MD,(like I did previously), via email and via telephone, as this matter is time critical. Lets see how well they respond this time, or if they respond 3-4 hours after they open like they did last time.

I just received the quiet one 6000 pump that I ordered yesterday. THANK YOU for the quick delivery.

The pump is supposed to be able to be used internally and externally, i.e. submerged and not submerged. But, there is a red ticket inside the carton that indicated that the pump “…can not be used externally and has only a two pin plug…” Does this mean can not be used outside the sump, not submerged, or does it mean not to be used outside the house.

Please advice me immediately. (by calling me at 626-358-4840 as this is a time sensitive issue, and I do not sit in front of the PC waiting for email messages)

Sincerely,

MD emailed me early this AM witha suggestion of what the conflicting info might be related to, but suggested that they contact the mfg to get the final clarification prior to my completing the pipe installation.

I got a telephone call from md at 9:45 AM confirming that:

The pump has only a 2-pin plug, (no ground pin). This makes the pump suitable for indoors use only. It can be used submersable or not submersable, (externally)

It just can not be run externally, (outdoors) as it is not a three prong plug.

Confusing??

But, MD did thier job, got me the information in a relatively short fashion.
