Connecting AquaController III to wireless network?

Hi guys --

I'm thinking about replacing my AquaController Jr with an AquaController III so that I can monitor my tank from anywhere in the world via the internet. Besides that, I just think it would be cool. :)

Is it possible to connect the AquaController III to my home wireless network so that I don't have to run ethernet cable direct to the unit? Is there some sort of wireless adapter that can be plugged into the ACIII's ethernet or serial port to allow this?

Any help is appreciated!
Dustin

I use a Buffalo adapter / ethernet bridge. Others use the Linksys gaming adapter. I had issues setting the Linksys gaming adapter up and keeping a connection, so returned it for the Buffalo, which has been flawless since the 5 minute install. This was a couple years ago though, not sure if you can buy Buffalo now (some lawsuit). The Linksys gaming adapter is ~99 new if I recall. Just plug the bridge into the AC3 + set up, much nicer than running tons of cable.

So how does that work? Do you place the bridge box in your stand, connect it to the ACIII with a short ethernet cable, and setup the bridge to "talk" to your wireless router?

Yes. You would set up the bridge first, and then connect it though. They are generally pretty easy to use.
