cont. ich in reef tank

I am wondering how long can ich live in a tank without any fish? I have some coral and snail, crabs. I have read it can be up to 11 months, i have read a month. Just not really getting consistent information on the live time it will survive in a tank without fish? Any help woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I believe I read 12 weeks but I could be wrong.
