I am thinking about purchasing a new controller for my reef. Does anyone have any suggestions or experence with the different brands? Recommendations?
Thanks.

Ive done lots of research & like the rk2 looks wise, but for lots of controll i'll probably go with a acjr. The rk2 doesnt provide the flexibility of the acjr, other wise i would buy a rk2. Besides im kinda tecky & it suites me better. For easy setup without a computer go for the rk2

without a doubt if you want the best control and are worried about your reef while you are away and will go bigger in the future... aqua controller III would be and is my choice, it can be viewed over the internet after its setup by using a simple IP address and if you want to go with a calcium reactor i would say the ACIII is the way to go because it can control two pH probes

What would the need be for 2 pH probes? If you were running a Calcium reactor wouldn't you have the controller set up so that if the tank pH went above a certain pH level then the reactor would turn on, then it would turn off at a certain pH.
Thanks.

with two pH probes i can effectively change the effluent pH in the chamber and monitor the pH in the tank so that i can either increase or decrease the amount of water dosed from the reactor to the tank
