The 6055s are variable pumps.
Yes you can use a regular timer to switch them on and off,
but to get the advantage of the varaible flow you really need
a controller.
When I asked about the Reef Keeper Elete having this function I
was told it did not, so I would suspect the RK2 does not have this
feature either.
I have a Profilux controller and it has the ability to control the
6055s, I believe the Neptune controllers doas well, there are
proabably other controllers as well.
Since you already have a controller you may do well getting the
Tunze controller in addition to your RK2.
You could plug the power supplies for the 6055s into one of
your RK2 outlets to turn them off during feeding time.
(you will loose the fishguard feature, but can just put the output covers on)
