Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give me some steps that I need to take in order to transfer everything from my 10 gal in to a 20 long..... I'd just like some further info and some of the precautions as I've not done this with a saltwater tank before. Thx in advance,

Alex

If you have a dsb, i'd probably just start with new sand. (moving dsb's can be tricky).
Mix the water in the 20 long, to correct salinity.
Place all live rocks in the new tank.
Take your inverts, corals, etc, and acclimate them (temp and with water) for the 20 long.
What type of lighting were you using and what are you going to use with the 20 long?
Let us know.

me :)
I have about a 3.5 - 4 inch sand bed in my 10 gallon.
When i switch tanks, I won't be taking that sand.. perhaps a scoop, but plan on going w/ a 1 inch or so sand bed.

i haven't made the exact switch yet, so nervous about it :D, i'm assuming i mix in as much of the pre-existing water into the new tank correct? For water movement i have a MJ-400, my AC110 (500), and the Prism Skimmer.

For lights I will be running dual 96w Quads on the tank.

You'd want to make a large amount of water for the new tank. Consider it a very large water change. Frankly, I wouldn't even bother putting in the old tank water in the new tank.
Just put the rocks in the tank and acclimate the corals/fish to the new tanks water, and you'll be good to go.
