Here is my plan. I have 3 tanks and it is just too much upkeep for me. I want to break down my 215 FOWLR tank and move my 150 reef into that tank. (then sell the 150).
I'm going to move EVERYTHING from the reef into the 215. Water, substrate, live rock, and all.
My questions are based on what is useable for the reef from my FOWLR tank.
The reason I'm concerned is b/c I did copper the FOWLR tank a few months back when I had an ich outbreak.
I'm going to drain all the water and completely remove the sand bed from the FOWLR.
However I would like to keep the live rock I have in there, it was very expensive.
Is it ok to do that? Or do I have to get all new rock?
Also, is there anything I need to do to the tank itself to prepare it for a reef? And special cleaning procedures or anything?
