cooked my rocks..

I got all of my rock cycling in another tank at the moment. I soaked it all in bleach for a week and then in muratic acid for two days. I rinsed it today and started to cycle it in another tank tonight. Looking forward to the rebuild of the 90 gallon.. looks so empty right now

Hello Henry, what ratios of water:bleach and water:acid did you use? I have some rock I'll need to cook in the near future. Thanks!

I used 2 cups of bleach per 5 gallon pail and 1 cup of acid per 5 gallon pail. I let the rock soak in the bleach for a week before rinsing and then let the rock soak in the acid for two days before rinsing. Puter has a thread on cooking rock here in URS. I didn't read through the whole thread so I'm not sure if I did it right or not but most of my rock my rock is bone white so I think i'm good. I guess i'll see after a few months...
Looking forward to some updates on your build after seeing that mammoth tank in person...

The 40 gallon is packed up to about 1" from the top except for where the pumps are..

Any recommendations on the skimmer setting?? Should I run it wet or dry??

From what I've read rather wet. But that's how I run my Skimmers any ways.
