Cooking live rock in Rubbermaid tub outside

I want to start cooking some dry live rock that i have on the back of my portch at home. I want to put it outside and cook it because i dont reall have a space in the house to cook it that is not carpeted. The thing that i worry about the is that if i do this even with the lid on the rubbermaid tub is that will the light that gets though and the colder temps outside right now will this affect the rock cooking proces. This will be my first time and u have researched it but never saw anyone cook rock outside on their portch lol.

I have no idea where Madison Height ,Va is. But it is to cold here to put anything but popsicles outside. Or is this porch of yours enclosed.??
If yes then yes you can put it on the porch. But really also needs a strong heater to keep the temp up near 70 degrees. This heater should be like 7-8 watts per gallon. And a lid on the tub will help also.

For curing/cooking rock ,outside might make a happy home. Because it might stink bad for a couple weeks while it cures.

Yea, im in central va. Right now the temp bounces around alot, rain one day, then the next day it snows, then the next its hot. I've been researching and realised that i wont be able to do it on the porch unless i use a few heaters in one tub. I may try it in the house hopefully it wont stink too bad ....hopefully.
