Cooking Marcorocks

I have a new 150G tank with a foam rock reef built in the two ends. The tank is a see through. Although the marcorock is cleaned a soaked it in a 8:1 vinegar water for a week and then soaked in fresh RO water. Built the reef and added salt water. No canopy has been placed on yet. I am running a skimmer. I will do a complete water change after measuring phosphates. I tested last night and it was at 2ppm. I will change water weekly until I reach 0ppm on phosphates. Does this sound like a good plan?

Dont forget about your nitrates. Plan sounds good so far, but just remember you are starting from nothing with the rocks, so it will probably take 3 to 4 weeks to be safe, Im sure it can be done sooner, if you could get a hold of some live rock or sand from a lfs or a buddy.....
