Cool 3d Aquarium

I think the hooters trademark would describe it best, Delightfully Tacky.

Its nice to see something different than the same old cube tanks.

Depends ;), I think it would look neat in an open floorplan right smack in the middle of everything with an industrial design to the house. The loads each glass pannel are taking must be interesting.

It is surely a pain to clean, but it gets my nod of approval just because its different and quirky.

Thanks for the interesting link, but IMO I'd rather put just a nice little reef in the middle of an open floorplan. I wonder if an engineering or math major would appreciate it more...

Don't take this the wrong way, just my opinion...but those are the ugliest tanks I've EVER SEEN! lol

hurts my eyes to look at

not functional whatsoever, too bad some fool would actually use that and put his fish in a maze like mess....

WOW!!!

What a strong opinion on a person who might own such a trivial piece of semi functional art....

If it didn't get extreme opinions from both sides of the spectrum, it wouldn't be art...

or something like that

to each their own

Tank sucks tho :o

HAPPY FRIDAY!

someone did in fact come up with that idea, and did take the time to figure dimensions, cut and glue glass and undoubtably took some time, effort, work and creativity. Absolutly, I love art as much as the next person who may be the slightest bit cultured in that respect. However, does it really look to be all that logical, and a good enviroment for the animals someone may put in it. well, I just don't feel it does. I'm sorry, i wasn't trying to have a "strong opinion" on amyone else art.

"semi" functional mind you.... again please don't get me wrong, art and expression are an amazing thing, but not when it comes to caring and providing for an ecosystem and/or its inhabitants.

The goldfish in there don't seem to mind that much. (nevermind an analysis of the moral ambiguities of keeping fish in a glass box and the advantages/disadvantages of how tanks are designed now and how they might be better designed)

A reef there might be extremely interesting, you leave the bottom portions covered in sand, with tunnels for eels/critters or whatnot, and the top portion serving as a nano tank. Talk about a DSB :)

It would kick @ss for eels!

I dont rely like it, but a big eel swimming around in there would be cool.

I would think a snowflake would be fine in there, there is surely more than 30 gallons of water, plenty of spaces to hide and if done right, would be pretty neat.
