Cool fish sightings

Saw this guy today at All Fish. I've only seen it before in Tony Vargas' aquarium. Although this one looks a bit larger.

Arrow head grouper. $99

Arrowhead soapfish it looks like, soapfish produce a toxic slime when frightened that can kill your other fish, hence the name soapfish.

Latin name is Belonoperca chabanaudi .

It's very rare for one to actually use the defense mechanicsm. The trick is to make sure they are the dominant fish in the tank.

You won't find alot of info about them online which is the sign of a rare fish. I'm surprised they labeled it @ $99 being that the red one sells for 4 grand.
