Cooling my reef tank this summer

I'm getting ready to get my reef tank cooled.

Would fans blowing down and over the sump work? I could leave the cabinet door open to help fresh air circulate.

Yes to both. You will have more evaporation and have to add more free water. If you can raise your lights higher off the tank, or shorten the photo period, this might also help.

From my experience, the best way has been to AC the room.
