I usually dose my 5.5 gal copepod aquarium with the recomended amount of microalgae. However, I just finished reading the advanced aquarists article and have a couple of questions. First I would like to know if there is a limit on the amount of algae one can just dump in an aquarium. The author seems to state an indefinite amount. Secondly has any one reasearched how much ammonia, nitrite,... etc. copepods can actually withstand.

of ocurse theres a limit of how much algae you can dump in the tank, if its live algae you can dump more, if its dead algae, then obviously you are fueling bacterial growth.
So try to feed as much as you see results. if you 'pod population continues to boom then you can feed slightly increasing amounts.
I imagine they have researched how much pollution 'pods can handle, but i personally wouldn't test it.
I know adelaide feeds her pods sprinkles of flkaes fish food, as well as phytos, but the key is to do water changes to ensure quality

I have also read that nannocloropis is hard to digest that is why i use thalassiosira. it seems that the author has experienced some success with nanno what type of copepod does he use?
