Copepods - only to certain fish?

Will most fish eat these? I'm wondering if I should just put some in my tank?

I have 2 clowns, a firefish and midas blenny and some shrimp.

Would I be wasting money?

Wasting money really. If you used live rock there is no need at all. If you used dry rock to start then adding some to "seed" the tank can be suggested but honestly they will take hold on there own without the $$$.

I think if you have live rock, the pods will appear on their own and reach a natural, sustainable level. I never see my clowns, dottyback, blenny or yellow watchman goby actively hunting for the pods on my glass and in the tank. Their numbers did grow when I had the fish out for ich treatment.

most fish will eat pods but don't need them to survive except for a few like mandrines and others but doesn't hurt to add some to seed the tank if you don't see any, look at the tank after lights out and use a flashlight with a red lens and you should see them, if not I would add some, it is good food for the fish in between meals.

Like mentioned above unless you have a specialized feeder such as a Mandarin or perhaps a Pipefish then pods are not really a necessity. FWIW they could disappear completely from my tank and it wouldn't miss a beat.
