Copepods

I know this might be a dumb question, but is it possible to have too many copepods. My tank right now looks like a snowglobe. Is there anything I can do or just ride it out?

That is usually a preferred thing. Means the tank is healthy. People buy bottles of those to dump in their tanks. Get a mandarin or a wrasse if you want to reduce the numbers.

Almost any small fish such as gobies will eat the copepods. I have them growing like crazy in my system and have a pair of mandarins that are now over 3 years old. They are fat and happy. How big is your tank? You may have the perfect conditions for a mandarin. A six line wrasse would also eat them.

Good luck!

Angel, Your tank might not be able to sustain a mandarin eventhough your tank currently looks like a "snow globe". They will decemate your pod population then most likely starve to death if you don't have a refugium and adequate tank size(75+). What type of setup do you have?
