Ive gone down the ick road too. I sucessfully beat it (i hope) with the hypo/high temp method. Unfortunately it totally killed all my plant life, except the mangroves which i isolated from the system. Today i bought a yellow tang and a yellow eye kote tang and dam i see a white spot on the tail of the yellow eye which i suspect is ick again. Since i have no plant life except the mangroves i want to treat the tank with copper, but im not sure how the mangroves will react. Does anybody have any experience with copper treatment and mangroves? I dont want to go thru that hypo again. My system is very complex with a sump, fuge, mangrove lagoon and a frag tank all connected. I havent come across any reading that says mangroves are sensitive to copper, any input would be appreciated.
