Copper Banded Butterfly

I got a CBB this week, it does not seem to be eating Aptasia. I have read that some don't, is there any chance this on may start after it acclimates a bit better? It is eating frozen shrimp and seems to hunt pods.

Thanks

Many never touch aiptasia. Of course many never eat in captivity so be glad yours is. Most of them love live blackworms.

Mine had to deplete all of the tubeworms/featherdusters before he went after the aiptasia. Took him a week to start on the aiptasia and less than that to polish them off. Never saw one after that. Hopefully yours will do the same :).

got one to, since one week , just once i saw him nipping on aiptesia , he spends all his time inspecting the rocks searching for somthig .

Mine only ate marine cuisine for 2 months and then woke up and cleaned out all aips in one night
Now it eats anything I feed for 7 months now; mysis, marine and emerald cuisine, freeze dried cyclops and flake.
I feed in front of a powerhead for the anthias and the CBB gets in the mix and competes for the fast moving food.

Have had mine for 4 years... stupidest fish, but biggest appetite :) I'm happy but will only touch mysis...

I've had my CBB for about 5 months now. He seems to actually prefer aiptasia, which is great. Not only that, but he eats out of my hand, and I can stick my hand in, grab him, and plop him in another tank in the basement if I need some aiptasia control. He goes to work within seconds of being put in his new tank too. I'm sure it helps that the tanks are all on the same system, but he never skips a beat. Him and my radiant wrasse are definitely my favorites!
