Copper Test Kit

What test kit have you used and was it easy to read?

Currently I'm using an API test kit for my copper dosing. It's a really simple test to perform. Syringe out 5 ml, add 10 drops, wait 1 min, compare to color chart. What I don't like about this kit is the whole color chart thing. I have a hard time telling what color/range I'm really in. Normally not a huge deal, but with copper, too little is ineffective, and too much equates death.

Are there digital kits for copper testing, or some that are more easier to determine what range your in?

Thanks.

I use Salifert for test copper. I have heard the API test only works with certain copper medications, doesn't work for others (like Cupramine).

+1 for Salifert if you are treating with Cupramine. I've also heard good things about Seachem's copper test kit.

API copper test kit is only suitable for testing higher range chelated copper i.e. Coppersafe.

I use La Motte low range copper test kit that uses the two 10ml vials. Works the best in my opinion and because light source and water clarity do not change the results
