Hello,

I have found a person that is selling a 300 gallon Tenecor Acrylic Tank. She said they had used Copper Safe in it 2 yrs ago. I think she still currently has it setup.

My Question is:

Would this tank be safe to start a new reef in?

What can be used to fully cleanse the tank from the treatment?

Any Comments or Suggestions should speak out. I am very worried to purcahse this and not be able to use it for a reef.

Thanks For The Information Posted

acrylic is know to pull in water. who knows how long it would take for any cu to come out if it's in there.

After talking to the woman who owns the tank I found that they only had treated Once with the Copper Safe treatment. and do 45% water changes every 2 weeks. She used to keep freshwater comets in this tank...

I think the vinegar and water cleaning method along with buffing will cleam it good like those posts mentioned. I dont know how scratched it is but I could buff the whole tank really good I suppose to rid of any copper..

..thanks for all the advice and look forward to more comments and opinions.

Wouldnt be too much thats for sure. Maybe alight buff...nothing serious... I may even take the tank to someone that can rebuff and polish the whole thing for me for a hundred or two bucks.LOL
