copperband butterfly

uh... does anyone else see my last post as the first post in the thread? Even though I didnt start this thread? weird....

Try live black worms. They are sold as fresh water fish food, but they are supposed to be a good first food for copperbands. Mine loves them. Saltwater kills the worms within 15 seconds, but most of them never reach the bottom. They are much more nutritious than brine shrimp.

i recently purchased a copperband from the lfs and i have seen it nipping at various things on the LR but it has not accepted any food i have offered it(flake, brine, mysis, formula, pellet) and i'm affraid it is going to eat all the available food and then starve. does anyone have any tips on getting them to eat what you offer? thanks

i think im going to have to put him in a seperate tank for a little while because everytime i try and feed him my blue tang eats everything in site

They can be very touchy fish. Search around in the Reef Fishes forum. If the "search" button doesn't work (it often doesn't during the daylight hours for Registered Members), try searching through:

If that doesn't work, PM me and I can give you some ideas.
good luck,
Jon
