Copperband butterfly

Some have a hard time to get them to feed. Once they eat prepared foods they are good. Can be timid eaters, clam will work very well.

I agree with AIsimmons, CB have such a tiny mouth it's hard finding adequate foods. And some times the are acquired and just won't eat anything. I would try the clam or Dr G's Oyster Magnifique. They will sometimes eat aptasia nems. The Dr G's does a great job inducing a feeding stimulation also great for snowing the corals at the same time. Good luck

The guy at my local told me he doesn't even like ordering them because so many die. Like others have mentioned the key is getting them to eat. Good luck!

I've had one for about 2 months now. He was eating flake food at the lfs, but I switched over to live black worms, mysis, and brine shrimp while in the qt and he took to those right away, especially the worms. He has been in the dt for a month now and is eating like a pig.
The key is to make sure it's eating at the lfs, is alert and actively exploring the tank. If you can get black worms that helps because they'll get a feeding response out of a finicky eaters.

Agreed, make sure it's eating at the lfs. I made that mistake had to take mine back because he wouldn't eat after trying clams and all.

IME, they didn't last long on just eating clams. I think some other prepared quality food should be supplemented like flakes and/or pellets.
